Worship

Worship is at the heart of who we are at the Church of the Epiphany. This necessarily is focused on scripture, prayer and sacrament. A major emphasis on music is found in our principal worship on Sunday and on special occasions.

Epiphany offers worship from the Anglican / Episcopal tradition, which follows the Book of Common Prayer (BCP). Encompassing not only Scripture and prayer, but also the joyful presence of God in the sacraments of Eucharist with Baptism, Confirmation and other special rites.

While this may sound a bit complicated, we are led by a well laid out bulletin, priest, trained lay ministers and choir. In the Episcopal worship you will find quiet time for reflection, a teaching time, prayer, music and affirmation of faith contained in the creeds of the Church. Our earnest desire is that you will experience the presence of God in grace filled moments of love, joy and peace, but also healing, reconciliation and the challenge of your ministry.

Regular worship hours:

Sundays
8:30 am Holy Eucharist

11:00 am Holy Eucharist with choir - the first Sunday of September
through the last Sunday of May

10:00 am June, July, August. Holy Eucharist with music.
(Nursery is provided during the second service)
Wednesdays

Music

We have a dedicated and harmonious choir which meets every Wednesday evening with our organist and music director. They delight in good challenge and supporting each other. Not only is their work superb, but their attitude is great as well as their participation in the parish family. For the past several years the choir (and the rector) has participated in the summer music conference at Trinity Center, Salter Path in the Diocese of East Carolina. Our music comes from a variety of sources including the Hymnal 1982, Lift Every Voice and Sing, and Wonder Love and Praise.
