Outreach
Outreach is an important part of the life of our parish. Some of our current outreach projects include Room In The Inn, where we provide meals and overnight hosts for the winter shelter in Rockingham County. Members of our congregation are math, reading and ESL tutors at the Rockingham Literacy Project. We have a mentoring partnership with Douglass Elementary School, and we provide students there with the school supplies they need to begin classes each year.
Each summer our youth group and several adult chaperones are a part of a housing rehabilitation mission trip. We repair homes for elderly, disabled and lower-income individuals who have no other way of making their homes livable. Our youth also volunteer for local projects, such as The Lord’s Pantry, which provides food to people in need in our community.
We hope to expand our outreach activities in the coming year, and welcome volunteers and ideas to help us witness to the transforming power of Christ in the world.
